December 6, 2016
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Cardinal Engineering provided complete civil engineering and surveying services to the City of Oklahoma City Maps Office for Phase 2 of the MAPS 3 Sidewalks project. Phase 2 of the MAPS 3 Sidewalks project added pedestrian improvements along approximately 13.7-miles of existing public streets throughout the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. The alignments included in this project represent the highest priority sidewalks according to the Sidewalk Master Plan and approved by the City of Oklahoma City in September 2012. Services required the design and construction of sidewalks throughout the City of Oklahoma City. This plan inventoried approximately 215-miles of potential sidewalk alignments throughout Oklahoma City and assigned a Weighted System Criteria Rating to assist the City of Oklahoma City in identifying relative importance of each potential sidewalk alignment. Basic services included the preparation of preliminary reports, final construction plans and as-built drawings, as well as, construction administration for the design and constructions of various sidewalks per the City of Oklahoma City’s master plan.
